"Kids Can, Too!"
"Kids Can, Too!" is a special 2-mile walk at the Tail Waggers Strut for kids ages 5-12. We believe that helping dogs and cats is very important to children; this walk gives them the opportunity to help us raise money for the animal sanctuary.
In addition, "Kids Can, Too!" aims to teach young children the value of community service and that they can accomplish great things through positive action.
There will also be special events just for the kids, including face painting, balloon making, and much more. We will even have a roving magician doing magic tricks!
Students can walk as a school team of 50 or more, can create teams, or can walk individually with an accompanying adult.
A team is made up of 10-15 walkers—either K - 3rd grade or 4th – 6th grade. (A mixed age team with two or more 4th – 6th graders will be considered a 4th – 6th grade team). A “Kids Can, Too!” team may be part of a class, part of a group or organization that the child belongs to, or may be a group of friends.
Prizes will be awarded for the individuals and teams in the following age and/or group categories that raise the most pledge money:
- Individual "Kids Can, Too!" - K-3rd grade
- Individual "Kids Can, Too!" – 4th-6th grade
- Team – K-3rd grade
- Team – 4th-6th grade
- School Team
Kids can be registered online or via FAX/mail. All kids must register with an adult who will walk with them (the adult does not pay a registration fee).
So REGISTER TODAY, find your sponsors, put on your walking shoes, and join us on Sunday, May 16 at Shady Brook Farm!
